Did you know that every night there are several hundred children in Butler County who do not have a bed to sleep on? Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is an organization that builds and delivers beds to children who need them. This month, West Region City Lights is partnering with SHP to give kids the gift of a bed this Christmas.

There are two ways you can help. First, they need comforters, sheets, pillows, fleece blankets, and stuffed animals, which can be purchased on this Amazon wishlist. You can drop them off at Rise Fitness in Monroe (150 Breaden Lane, Monroe, OH 45050) or at SouthBrook Christian Church. Second, they need people to help deliver and assemble the beds on Saturday, December 19. We need people who are handy that can assemble a bed (much easier than IKEA furniture), people who can help make the bed for the kids, and a couple of people with trucks to haul the beds to the homes. I promise that this will be the highlight of your Christmas and possibly all of 2020. Seeing that kid smile when they finally get a bed to sleep on will bring tears to your eyes.
